What exactly is Primal Training Systems?

The Primal System Training clientele consists of a group of hard-working, dedicated – high school athletes in the Madison Wisconsin area who are serious about improving their sport(s).

Why the name “Primal Training Systems?”

The name describes the three-fold type of training that will be designed for you .

 

Primal Meaning # 1: Using movements aligned with our early ancestors;  movements we were actually designed to do! Our early ancestors needed to move to survive, similarly to your training you will be moving to improve!

  • Pressing
  • Jumping
  • Sprinting
  • Squatting

 

Primal Meaning #2: Of first importance, fundamentals. The training program is designed to transfer the movements in-to your sport. During your training sessions, you will be engaged in fundamental movements that carry-over to your specific sport.

 

Primal Meaning #3: You will be learning to eat like our ancient ancestors. You will stray away from commercially processed foods and choose more whole meats, fruits and vegetables as your main diet. This nutrition system, in turn, will aid your performance and recovery. You will feel better, be more alert and have more energy for your training sessions.

How long are training sessions?

45 – 60 mins. of High Intensity & Focused Strength & Fitness Work. You GET IN, GET TO WORK and GET OUT! No need to spend countless hours on fancy machines to get the results you want.

 

How many times will you train per week?

The typical athlete will train 2-3 times per week, depending on your sport specific needs.

 

Where exactly do training sessions take place?

Currently, I train athletes in my home garage-training studio. As my clientele begins to grow, I will look into leasing warehouse or studio space.

 

How much does Primal Training Systems cost?

The Basic Membership package is $75 per month.

The Basic Membership package includes the following features:

  • A 12-week training plan designed by me!
  • Frequent and purposeful assessment to monitor your performance.
  • Regular meetings to discuss your athletic goals
  • 2x-3x individualized training sessions per week

At this cost, if you train 3x per week, during 4 weeks in a month, equal to 12 sessions, you only pay roughly $6 per hour for individualized training!

 

The Advanced Membership Package is $100 per month. In addition to the Basic Membership, you also get:

  • Open and supervised studio time to train independently
  • Weekend access to train at your own pace

At this cost, if you train 12x per month and attend 1 more open gym session per week, equal to 16x in one month, you are still only paying roughly $6 per training session.

 

How do I prepare for my first session with Primal Training Systems?

You will meet with me and discuss how I can help you meet your athletic goals. From there, I will design a 12 week program and hand this to you on your first training session.

 

What should I expect during my first training session?

First, be mentally prepared to work harder than you can even imagine.

You will want to bring:

  • Cold water, no juices, energy drinks or sodas permitted…No Exceptions!
  • A small hand towel – you will be sweating
  • Show up in athletic shoes and clothing
  • A good attitude…I reserve the right to refuse training for bad attitudes.

What sports are best suited for Primal Training Systems?

All high school athletes can benefit from the increased performance and power from specifically designed training sessions. I can provide training sessions for the following sports:

Football, Baseball, Basketball, Wrestling, Soccer, Sprinters, Jumpers, Tennis, Volleyball,

While this is the majority of high school sports, I can also design programs for other sports. Just email and ask…

 

How fast will I see results?

It depends on how hard you are willing to work, how often you attend your scheduled sessions and how well you treat your body (rest and nutrition) when you are not training. Bottom line is… I will design a program to help you become STRONGER, FASTER and more EXPLOSIVE!
